Human HSPA9 (Stress-70 Protein, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit
Human HSPA9 (Stress-70 Protein, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit
The Human (HSPA9) Stress-70 Protein, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit measures Stress-70 protein, mitochondrial in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HSPA9 antibody. HSPA9 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HSPA9 Antibody is added and binds to HSPA9 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HSPA9 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HSPA9. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Chaperone protein which plays an important role in mitochondrial iron-sulfur cluster (ISC) biogenesis. Interacts with and stabilizes ISC cluster assembly proteins FXN, NFU1, NFS1 and ISCU (PubMed:26702583).
Regulates erythropoiesis via stabilization of ISC assembly (PubMed:21123823, PubMed:26702583).
May play a role in the control of cell proliferation and cellular aging (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
