Human HSPB6 (Heat Shock Protein Beta-6) ELISA Kit
Human HSPB6 (Heat Shock Protein Beta-6) ELISA Kit
The Human (HSPB6) Heat Shock Protein Beta-6 ELISA Kit measures Heat Shock Protein Beta-6 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HSPB6 antibody. HSPB6 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HSPB6 Antibody is added and binds to HSPB6 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HSPB6 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HSPB6. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Small heat shock protein which functions as a molecular chaperone probably maintaining denatured proteins in a folding-competent state. Seems to have versatile functions in various biological processes. Plays a role in regulating muscle function such as smooth muscle vasorelaxation and cardiac myocyte contractility. May regulate myocardial angiogenesis implicating KDR. Overexpression mediates cardioprotection and angiogenesis after induced damage. Stabilizes monomeric YWHAZ thereby supporting YWHAZ chaperone-like activity. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
