Human IER3 (Radiation-inducible Immediate-Early Gene Iex-1) ELISA Kit
Human IER3 (Radiation-inducible Immediate-Early Gene Iex-1) ELISA Kit
The Human (IER3) Radiation-inducible Immediate-Early Gene Iex-1 ELISA Kit measures Radiation-inducible immediate-early gene IEX-1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human IER3 antibody. IER3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human IER3 Antibody is added and binds to IER3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IER3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IER3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
May play a role in the ERK signaling pathway by inhibiting the dephosphorylation of ERK by phosphatase PP2A-PPP2R5C holoenzyme. Acts also as an ERK downstream effector mediating survival. As a member of the NUPR1/RELB/IER3 survival pathway, may provide pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma with remarkable resistance to cell stress, such as starvation or gemcitabine treatment.
