The Human (IFIH1) Interferon-induced Helicase C Domain-containing Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Interferon-Induced Helicase C Domain-Containing Protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human IFIH1 antibody. IFIH1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human IFIH1 Antibody is added and binds to IFIH1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IFIH1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IFIH1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Also involved in antiviral signaling in response to viruses containing a dsDNA genome, such as vaccinia virus. Plays an important role in amplifying innate immune signaling through recognition of RNA metabolites that are produced during virus infection by ribonuclease L (RNase L).
