The Human (IFNAR2) Interferon Alpha/Beta Receptor 2 ELISA Kit measures Interferon Alpha/Beta Receptor 2 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human IFNAR2 antibody. IFNAR2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human IFNAR2 Antibody is added and binds to IFNAR2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IFNAR2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IFNAR2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Associates with IFNAR1 to form the type I interferon receptor. Receptor for interferons alpha and beta. Involved in IFN-mediated STAT1, STAT2 and STAT3 activation (PubMed: 26424569, PubMed: 32972995). Isoform 1 and isoform 2 are directly involved in signal transduction due to their association with the TYR kinase, JAK1 (PubMed: 8181059, PubMed: 7665574, PubMed: 7759950).
