Human IL1F5 (Interleukin-36 Receptor Antagonist Protein) ELISA Kit
Human IL1F5 (Interleukin-36 Receptor Antagonist Protein) ELISA Kit
The Human (IL1F5) Interleukin-36 Receptor Antagonist Protein ELISA Kit measures Interleukin-36 receptor antagonist protein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human IL1F5 antibody. IL1F5 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human IL1F5 Antibody is added and binds to IL1F5 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IL1F5 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IL1F5. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Inhibits the activity of interleukin-36 (IL36A,IL36B and IL36G) by binding to receptor IL1RL2 and preventing its association with the coreceptor IL1RAP for signaling. Part of the IL-36 signaling system that is thought to be present in epithelial barriers and to take part in local inflammatory response; similar to the IL-1 system with which it shares the coreceptor. Proposed to play a role in skin inflammation. May be involved in the innate immune response to fungal pathogens, such as Aspergillus fumigatus. May activate an anti-inflammatory signaling pathway by recruiting SIGIRR. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
