The Human (IL1RL2) Interleukin-1 Receptor-like 2 ELISA Kit measures Interleukin-1 Receptor-Like 2 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human IL1RL2 antibody. IL1RL2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human IL1RL2 Antibody is added and binds to IL1RL2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IL1RL2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human IL1RL2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for interleukin-36 (IL36A, IL36B and IL36G). After binding to interleukin-36 associates with the coreceptor IL1RAP to form the interleukin-36 receptor complex which mediates interleukin-36-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B, MAPK and other pathways (By similarity). The IL-36 signaling system is thought to be present in epithelial barriers and to take part in local inflammatory response; it is similar to the IL-1 system.
