Human ITPR1 (Inositol 1,4, 5-Trisphosphate Receptor Type 1) ELISA Kit

Human ITPR1 (Inositol 1,4, 5-Trisphosphate Receptor Type 1) ELISA Kit

The Human (ITPR1) Inositol 1,4, 5-Trisphosphate Receptor Type 1 ELISA Kit measures Inositol 1,4,5-Trisphosphate Receptor Type 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ITPR1 antibody. ITPR1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ITPR1 Antibody is added and binds to ITPR1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ITPR1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ITPR1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Intracellular Channel that mediates calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum following stimulation by inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (PubMed: 27108797). Involved in the regulation of epithelial secretion of electrolytes and fluid through the interaction with AHCYL1 (By similarity). Plays a role in ER stress-induced apoptosis. Cytoplasmic calcium released from the ER triggers apoptosis by the activation of CaM kinase II, eventually leading to the activation of downstream apoptosis pathways (By similarity).
