Human KLRC2 (Nkg2-C Type 2 Integral Membrane Protein) ELISA Kit
Human KLRC2 (Nkg2-C Type 2 Integral Membrane Protein) ELISA Kit
The Human (KLRC2) Nkg2-C Type 2 Integral Membrane Protein ELISA Kit measures NKG2-C type 2 integral membrane protein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human KLRC2 antibody. KLRC2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human KLRC2 Antibody is added and binds to KLRC2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated KLRC2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human KLRC2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Immune activating receptor involved in self-nonself discrimination. In complex with KLRD1 on cytotoxic lymphocyte subsets, recognizes non-classical major histocompatibility (MHC) class Ib HLA-E loaded with signal sequence-derived peptides from non-classical MHC class Ib HLA-G molecules, likely playing a role in the generation and effector functions of adaptive natural killer (NK) cells and in maternal-fetal tolerance during pregnancy (PubMed:9754572, PubMed:30134159).
Regulates the effector functions of terminally differentiated cytotoxic lymphocyte subsets, and in particular may play a role in adaptive NK cell response to viral infection (PubMed:21825173, PubMed:20952657).
Upon HLA-E-peptide binding, transmits intracellular signals via the adapter protein TYROBP/DAP12, triggering the phosphorylation of proximal signaling molecules and cell activation (PubMed:9655483, PubMed:15940674). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
