The Human (MYH11) Myosin-11 ELISA Kit measures Myosin-11 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MYH11 antibody. MYH11 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MYH11 Antibody is added and binds to MYH11 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MYH11 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MYH11. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Myosin-11 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MYH11 gene. Myosin-11 is a smooth muscle myosin belonging to the myosin heavy chain family. Myosin-11 is a subunit of a hexameric protein that consists of two heavy chain subunits and two pairs of non-identical light chain subunits.
