The Human (PGLYRP3) Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 3 ELISA Kit measures Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human PGLYRP3 antibody. PGLYRP3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PGLYRP3 Antibody is added and binds to PGLYRP3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PGLYRP3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PGLYRP3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram-negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram-negative bacteria.
