Human PTGFR (Prostaglandin F2-alpha Receptor) ELISA Kit
Human PTGFR (Prostaglandin F2-alpha Receptor) ELISA Kit
The Human (PTGFR) Prostaglandin F2-alpha Receptor ELISA Kit measures Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human PTGFR antibody. PTGFR present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PTGFR Antibody is added and binds to PTGFR in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PTGFR antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PTGFR. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for prostaglandin F2-alpha (PGF2-alpha). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Initiates luteolysis in the corpus luteum (By similarity).
Isoforms 2 to 7 do not bind PGF2-alpha but are proposed to modulate signaling by participating in variant receptor complexes; heterodimers between isoform 1 and isoform 5 are proposed to be a receptor for prostamides including the synthetic analog bimatoprost. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
