Human SCN7A (Sodium Channel Protein Type 7 Subunit Alpha) ELISA Kit
Human SCN7A (Sodium Channel Protein Type 7 Subunit Alpha) ELISA Kit
The Human (SCN7A) Sodium Channel Protein Type 7 Subunit Alpha ELISA Kit measures Sodium Channel protein type 7 subunit alpha in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SCN7A antibody. SCN7A present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SCN7A Antibody is added and binds to SCN7A in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SCN7A antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SCN7A. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Mediates the voltage-dependent sodium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Assuming opened or closed conformations in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, the protein forms a sodium-selective channel through which Na+ ions may pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient.
