Human SEPHS1 (Selenide, Water Dikinase 1) ELISA Kit

Human SEPHS1 (Selenide, Water Dikinase 1) ELISA Kit

The Human (SEPHS1) Selenide, Water Dikinase 1 ELISA Kit measures Selenide, water dikinase 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SEPHS1 antibody. SEPHS1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SEPHS1 Antibody is added and binds to SEPHS1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SEPHS1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SEPHS1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Selenide, water dikinase 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SEPHS1 gene. This protein encodes an enzyme that synthesizes selenophosphate from selenide and ATP. Selenophosphate is the selenium donor used to synthesize selenocysteine, which is co-translationally incorporated into selenoproteins at in-frame UGA codons. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
