The Human (SLFN13) Schlafen Family Member 13 ELISA Kit measures Schlafen Family Member 13 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SLFN13 antibody. SLFN13 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SLFN13 Antibody is added and binds to SLFN13 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SLFN13 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SLFN13. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Endoribonuclease that cleaves tRNAs and rRNAs (PubMed: 29563550). Cleaves tRNAs 11 nucleotides from the 3'-terminus at the acceptor stem (PubMed: 29563550). Does not act on tRNA(Sec) (PubMed: 29563550). Able to restrict HIV-1 virus replication; ability to inhibit HIV-1 replication is dependent on endoribonuclease activity (PubMed: 29563550).
