The Human (SMAD6) Mothers Against Decapentaplegic Homolog 6 ELISA Kit measures Mothers Against Decapentaplegic Homolog 6 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SMAD6 antibody. SMAD6 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SMAD6 Antibody is added and binds to SMAD6 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SMAD6 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SMAD6. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background

Suppresses IL1R-TLR signaling through its direct interaction with PEL1, preventing NF-kappa-B activation, nuclear transport and NF-kappa-B-mediated expression of proinflammatory genes.
