Human SNN (Stannin) ELISA Kit
Human SNN (Stannin) ELISA Kit
The Human (SNN) Stannin ELISA Kit measures Stannin in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SNN antibody. SNN present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SNN Antibody is added and binds to SNN in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SNN antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SNN. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Stannins are small proteins that consist of a single transmembrane helix, an unstructured linker domain, and a cytoplasmic domain. The transmembrane region contains a conserved cysteine residue (Cys32) that, together with Cys34 found in the stannin unstructured linker domain, constitutes the putative trimethyltin-binding site, close to the lipid/solvent interface.
