Human SPSB4 (Spry Domain-containing Socs Box Protein 4) ELISA Kit

Human SPSB4 (Spry Domain-containing Socs Box Protein 4) ELISA Kit

The Human (SPSB4) Spry Domain-containing Socs Box Protein 4 ELISA Kit measures SPRY domain-containing SOCS box protein 4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SPSB4 antibody. SPSB4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SPSB4 Antibody is added and binds to SPSB4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SPSB4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SPSB4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Substrate recognition component of a SCF-like ECS (Elongin BC-CUL2/5-SOCS-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins (PubMed:21199876, PubMed:15601820). Negatively regulates nitric oxide (NO) production and limits cellular toxicity in activated macrophages by mediating the ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of NOS2 (PubMed:21199876). Acts as a bridge which links NOS2 with the ECS E3 ubiquitin ligase complex components ELOC and CUL5 (PubMed:21199876). Diminishes EphB2-dependent cell repulsive responses by mediating the ubiquitination and degradation of EphB2/CTF2 (PubMed:28931592). Regulates cellular clock function by mediating the ubiquitin/proteasome-dependent degradation of the circadian transcriptional repressor NR1D1 (PubMed:26392558). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
