Human SRGN (Serglycin) ELISA Kit
The Human (SRGN) Serglycin ELISA Kit measures Serglycin in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SRGN antibody. SRGN present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SRGN Antibody is added and binds to SRGN in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SRGN antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SRGN. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Plays a role in formation of mast cell secretory granules and mediates storage of various compounds in secretory vesicles. Plays a role in localizing neutrophil elastase in azurophil granules of neutrophils. Mediates processing of MMP2. Plays a role in cytotoxic cell granule-mediated apoptosis by forming a complex with granzyme B which is delivered to cells by perforin to induce apoptosis.
