Human SRP14 (Signal Recognition Particle 14 kDa Protein) ELISA Kit
Human SRP14 (Signal Recognition Particle 14 kDa Protein) ELISA Kit
The Human (SRP14) Signal Recognition Particle 14 kDa Protein ELISA Kit measures Signal recognition particle 14 kDa protein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SRP14 antibody. SRP14 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SRP14 Antibody is added and binds to SRP14 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SRP14 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SRP14. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Signal-recognition-particle assembly has a crucial role in targeting secretory proteins to the rough endoplasmic reticulum membrane. SRP9 together with SRP14 and the Alu portion of the SRP RNA, constitutes the elongation arrest domain of SRP. The complex of SRP9 and SRP14 is required for SRP RNA binding.
