Human SRP68 (Signal Recognition Particle Subunit Srp68) ELISA Kit
Human SRP68 (Signal Recognition Particle Subunit Srp68) ELISA Kit
The Human (SRP68) Signal Recognition Particle Subunit Srp68 ELISA Kit measures Signal Recognition Particle Subunit Srp68 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human SRP68 antibody. SRP68 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human SRP68 Antibody is added and binds to SRP68 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SRP68 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human SRP68. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Signal-recognition-particle assembly has a crucial role in targeting secretory proteins to the rough endoplasmic reticulum membrane. SRP68 binds the 7S RNA, SRP72 binds to this complex subsequently. This ribonucleoprotein complex might interact directly with the docking protein in the ER membrane and possibly participate in the elongation arrest function. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
