Human ST14 (Suppressor of Tumorigenicity 14 Protein) ELISA Kit
Human ST14 (Suppressor of Tumorigenicity 14 Protein) ELISA Kit
The Human (ST14) Suppressor of Tumorigenicity 14 Protein ELISA Kit measures Suppressor of tumorigenicity 14 protein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ST14 antibody. ST14 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ST14 Antibody is added and binds to ST14 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ST14 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ST14. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Degrades extracellular matrix. Proposed to play a role in breast cancer invasion and metastasis. Exhibits trypsin-like activity as defined by cleavage of synthetic substrates with Arg or Lys as the P1 site. Involved in the terminal differentiation of keratinocytes through prostasin (PRSS8) activation and filaggrin (FLG) processing. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
