Human STK4 ELISA Kit
This ELISA kit is designed to detect Human STK4. The assay plate has been pre-coated with mouse anti-Human MST1 monoclonal antibody. When the sample containing MST1 is added to the plate, it binds to the antibodies coated on the wells. Then, a horseradish peroxidase conjugated mouse anti-Human MST1 Antibody is added to the wells and binds to MST1 in the sample. After washing the wells, substrate solutions are added, and the color intensity is directly proportional to the amount of Human MST1 present. The reaction is stopped by adding an acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Dysregulation of MST1/STK4, a key kinase component of the Hippo-YAP pathway, is linked to the etiology of many cancers with poor prognosis. STK4/Hippo pathway may have important therapeutic implications for cancer. The tumor suppressor serine/threonine-protein kinase 4 (STK4) differentially regulates TLR3/4/9-mediated inflammatory responses in macrophages and thereby is protective against chronic inflammation-associated Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). STK4 has potential as a diagnostic biomarker and therapeutic target for inflammation-induced HCC.
