Human STX4 (Syntaxin 4) ELISA Kit
The Human (STX4) Syntaxin 4 ELISA Kit measures Syntaxin 4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human STX4 antibody. STX4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human STX4 Antibody is added and binds to STX4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated STX4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human STX4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Plasma membrane t-SNARE that mediates docking of transport vesicles. Necessary for the translocation of SLC2A4 from intracellular vesicles to the plasma membrane. Together with STXB3 and VAMP2, may also play a role in docking/fusion of intracellular GLUT4-containing vesicles with the cell surface in adipocytes (By similarity).
