The Human (STX6) Syntaxin 6 ELISA Kit measures Syntaxin 6 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human STX6 antibody. STX6 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human STX6 Antibody is added and binds to STX6 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated STX6 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human STX6. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Syntaxin-6 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the STX6 gene. The protein domain Syntaxin 6 N terminal protein domain is a soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor (SNARE) found in endosomal transport vesicles.
