Human TAS2R38 (Taste Receptor Type 2 Member 38) ELISA Kit
Human TAS2R38 (Taste Receptor Type 2 Member 38) ELISA Kit
The Human (TAS2R38) Taste Receptor Type 2 Member 38 ELISA Kit measures Taste receptor type 2 member 38 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TAS2R38 antibody. TAS2R38 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TAS2R38 Antibody is added and binds to TAS2R38 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TAS2R38 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TAS2R38. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor that may play a role in the perception of bitterness and is gustducin-linked. May play a role in sensing the chemical composition of the gastrointestinal content. The activity of this receptor may stimulate alpha gustducin, mediate PLC-beta-2 activation and lead to the gating of TRPM5 (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
