Human TBXA2R (Thromboxane A2 Receptor) ELISA Kit
Human TBXA2R (Thromboxane A2 Receptor) ELISA Kit
The Human (TBXA2R) Thromboxane A2 Receptor ELISA Kit measures Thromboxane A2 Receptor in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TBXA2R antibody. TBXA2R present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TBXA2R Antibody is added and binds to TBXA2R in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TBXA2R antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TBXA2R. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for thromboxane A2 (TXA2), a potent stimulator of platelet aggregation. The activity of this receptor is mediated by a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. In the kidney, the binding of TXA2 to glomerular TP receptors causes intense vasoconstriction. Activates phospholipase C. Isoform 1 activates adenylyl cyclase. Isoform 2 inhibits adenylyl cyclase.
