The Human (TCF7) Transcription Factor 7 ELISA Kit measures Transcription Factor 7 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TCF7 antibody. TCF7 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TCF7 Antibody is added and binds to TCF7 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TCF7 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TCF7. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Transcriptional activator involved in T-cell lymphocyte differentiation. Necessary for the survival of CD4(+) CD8(+) immature thymocytes. Isoforms lacking the N-terminal CTNNB1 binding domain cannot fulfill this role. Binds to the T-lymphocyte-specific enhancer element (5'-WWCAAAG-3') found in the promoter of the CD3E gene. Represses expression of the T-cell receptor gamma gene in alpha-beta T-cell lineages (By similarity). Required for the development of natural killer receptor-positive lymphoid tissue inducer T-cells (By similarity).
