Human TNFRSF1B (Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 1B) ELISA Kit

Human TNFRSF1B (Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 1B) ELISA Kit

The Human (TNFRSF1B) Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 1B ELISA Kit measures Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 1B in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TNFRSF1B antibody. TNFRSF1B present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TNFRSF1B Antibody is added and binds to TNFRSF1B in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TNFRSF1B antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TNFRSF1B. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha and approximately 5-fold lower affinity for homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha. The TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits the apoptotic suppressors BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2. This receptor mediates most of the metabolic effects of TNF-alpha. Isoform 2 blocks TNF-alpha-induced apoptosis, which suggests that it regulates TNF-alpha function by antagonizing its biological activity. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
