Human TNN (Tenascin-N) ELISA Kit
Human TNN (Tenascin-N) ELISA Kit
The Human (TNN) Tenascin-N ELISA Kit measures Tenascin-N in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TNN antibody. TNN present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TNN Antibody is added and binds to TNN in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TNN antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TNN. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Extracellular matrix protein that seems to be a ligand for ITGA8:ITGB1, ITGAV:ITGB1 and ITGA4:ITGB1 (By similarity) (PubMed: 17909022). Involved in neurite outgrowth and cell migration in hippocampal explants (By similarity). During endochondral bone formation, inhibits proliferation and differentiation of proteoblasts mediated by canonical WNT signaling (By similarity). In tumors, stimulates angiogenesis by elongation, migration and sprouting of endothelial cells (PubMed: 19884327). Expressed in most mammary tumors, may facilitate tumorigenesis by supporting the migratory behavior of breast cancer cells (PubMed: 17909022). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
