Human TOLLIP (Toll Interacting Protein) ELISA Kit

Human TOLLIP (Toll Interacting Protein) ELISA Kit

The Human (TOLLIP) Toll Interacting Protein ELISA Kit measures Toll Interacting Protein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TOLLIP antibody. TOLLIP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TOLLIP Antibody is added and binds to TOLLIP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TOLLIP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TOLLIP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Component of the signaling pathway of IL-1 and Toll-like receptors. Inhibits cell activation by microbial products. Recruits IRAK1 to the IL-1 receptor complex. Inhibits IRAK1 phosphorylation and kinase activity (PubMed:11751856). Connects the ubiquitin pathway to autophagy by functioning as a ubiquitin-ATG8 family adapter and thus mediating autophagic clearance of ubiquitin conjugates. The TOLLIP-dependent selective autophagy pathway plays an important role in clearance of cytotoxic polyQ proteins aggregates (PubMed:25042851). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
