Human TPM2 (Tropomyosin Beta Chain) ELISA Kit

Human TPM2 (Tropomyosin Beta Chain) ELISA Kit

The Human (TPM2) Tropomyosin Beta Chain ELISA Kit measures Tropomyosin Beta Chain in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TPM2 antibody. TPM2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TPM2 Antibody is added and binds to TPM2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TPM2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TPM2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Binds to actin filaments in muscle and non-muscle cells. Plays a central role, in association with the troponin complex, in the calcium dependent regulation of vertebrate striated muscle contraction. Smooth muscle contraction is regulated by interaction with caldesmon. In non-muscle cells is implicated in stabilizing cytoskeleton actin filaments. The non-muscle isoform may have a role in agonist-mediated receptor internalization. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
