Human TS (Thymidylate Synthetase) ELISA Kit
The Human (TS) Thymidylate Synthetase ELISA Kit measures thymidylate synthetase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TS antibody. TS present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TS Antibody is added and binds to TS in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TS antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TS. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Thymidylate synthase (TS) (EC 2.1.1.45) is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of deoxyuridine monophosphate (dUMP) to deoxythymidine monophosphate (dTMP). Thymidine is one of the nucleotides in DNA. With inhibition of TS, an imbalance of deoxynucleotides and increased levels of dUMP arise. Both cause DNA damage. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
