Human TTN (Titin) ELISA Kit
Human TTN (Titin) ELISA Kit
The Human (TTN) Titin ELISA Kit measures Titin in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human TTN antibody. TTN present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human TTN Antibody is added and binds to TTN in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TTN antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human TTN. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Key component in the assembly and functioning of vertebrate striated muscles. By providing connections at the level of individual microfilaments, it contributes to the fine balance of forces between the two halves of the sarcomere. The size and extensibility of the cross-links are the main determinants of sarcomere extensibility properties of muscle. In non-muscle cells, seems to play a role in chromosome condensation and chromosome segregation during mitosis. Might link the lamina network to chromatin or nuclear actin, or both during interphase.
