Mouse ACE (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme) ELISA Kit
Mouse ACE (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (ACE) Angiotensin Converting Enzyme ELISA Kit measures Angiotensin Converting Enzyme in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse ACE antibody. ACE present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse ACE Antibody is added and binds to ACE in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ACE antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse ACE. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II by release of the terminal His-Leu, this results in an increase of the vasoconstrictor activity of angiotensin. Also able to inactivate bradykinin, a potent vasodilator. Has also a glycosidase activity which releases GPI-anchored proteins from the membrane by cleaving the mannose linkage in the GPI moiety. This GPIase activity seems to be crucial for the egg-binding ability of the sperm. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
