Mouse ANPEP (Aminopeptidase N) ELISA Kit
Mouse ANPEP (Aminopeptidase N) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (ANPEP) Aminopeptidase N ELISA Kit measures Aminopeptidase N in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse ANPEP antibody. ANPEP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse ANPEP Antibody is added and binds to ANPEP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ANPEP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse ANPEP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Broad specificity aminopeptidase which plays a role in the final digestion of Peptides generated from hydrolysis of proteins by gastric and pancreatic proteases. Also involved in the processing of various Peptides including Peptide hormones, such as angiotensin III and IV, neuropeptides, and chemokines (By similarity). May also be involved the cleavage of Peptides bound to major histocompatibility complex class II molecules of antigen presenting cells (PubMed: 8691132). May have a role in angiogenesis and promote cholesterol crystallization (By similarity). May have a role in amino acid transport by acting as binding partner of amino acid transporter SLC6A19 and regulating its activity (PubMed: 22677001). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
