Mouse APO-C3 (Apolipoprotein C3) ELISA Kit
Mouse APO-C3 (Apolipoprotein C3) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (APO-C3) Apolipoprotein C3 ELISA Kit measures Apolipoprotein C3 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse APOC3 antibody. APOC3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse APOC3 Antibody is added and binds to APOC3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated APOC3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse APOC3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Component of triglyceride-rich very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) and high density lipoproteins (HDL) in plasma. Plays a multifaceted role in triglyceride homeostasis. Intracellularly, promotes hepatic very low density lipoprotein 1 (VLDL1) assembly and secretion; extracellularly, attenuates hydrolysis and clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs). Impairs the lipolysis of TRLs by inhibiting lipoprotein lipase and the hepatic uptake of TRLs by remnant receptors. Formed of several curved helices connected via semiflexible hinges, so that it can wrap tightly around the curved micelle surface and easily adapt to the different diameters of its natural binding partners.
