The Mouse (AT-3) Anti-Thrombin 3 ELISA Kit measures Anti-Thrombin 3 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse SERPINC1 antibody. SERPINC1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse SERPINC1 Antibody is added and binds to SERPINC1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SERPINC1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse SERPINC1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Most important serine protease inhibitor in plasma that regulates the blood coagulation cascade. AT-III inhibits thrombin, matriptase-3/TMPRSS7, as well as factors IXa, Xa and XIa.
