Mouse ATP1A2 (Sodium Potassium-transporting Atpase Subunit Alpha-2) ELISA Kit

Mouse ATP1A2 (Sodium Potassium-transporting Atpase Subunit Alpha-2) ELISA Kit

The Mouse (ATP1A2) Sodium Potassium-transporting Atpase Subunit Alpha-2 ELISA Kit measures Sodium/potassium-transporting ATPase subunit alpha-2 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse ATP1A2 antibody. ATP1A2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse ATP1A2 Antibody is added and binds to ATP1A2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ATP1A2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse ATP1A2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background This is the catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of sodium and potassium ions across the plasma membrane. This action creates the electrochemical gradient of sodium and potassium ions, providing the energy for active transport of various nutrients (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
