The Mouse (C1QL3) Complement C1Q-like Protein 3 ELISA Kit measures Complement C1q-like protein 3 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse C1QL3 antibody. C1QL3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse C1QL3 Antibody is added and binds to C1QL3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated C1QL3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse C1QL3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
May regulate the number of excitatory synapses that are formed on hippocampus neurons. Has no effect on inhibitory synapses. Plays a role in glucose homeostasis. Via AMPK signaling pathway, stimulates glucose uptake in adipocytes, myotubes and hepatocytes and enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake.
