Mouse CLTB (Clathrin Light Chain B) ELISA Kit
Mouse CLTB (Clathrin Light Chain B) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (CLTB) Clathrin Light Chain B ELISA Kit measures Clathrin light chain B in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse CLTB antibody. CLTB present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse CLTB Antibody is added and binds to CLTB in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CLTB antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse CLTB. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Clathrin, light chain B is a protein in humans that is encoded by the CLTB gene. Clathrin is a large, soluble protein composed of heavy and light chains. It functions as the main structural component of the lattice-type cytoplasmic face of coated pits and coated vesicles which entrap specific macromolecules during receptor-mediated endocytosis. This gene encodes one of two clathrin light chain proteins which are believed to function as regulatory elements. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
