Mouse EPHB4 (Ephrin Type-B Receptor 4) ELISA Kit
Mouse EPHB4 (Ephrin Type-B Receptor 4) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (EPHB4) Ephrin Type-B Receptor 4 ELISA Kit measures Ephrin Type-B Receptor 4 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse EPHB4 antibody. EPHB4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse EPHB4 Antibody is added and binds to EPHB4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated EPHB4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse EPHB4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor tyrosine kinase which binds promiscuously transmembrane ephrin-B family ligands residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. The signaling pathway downstream of the receptor is referred to as forward signaling while the signaling pathway downstream of the ephrin ligand is referred to as reverse signaling. Together with its cognate ligand/functional ligand EFNB2 it is involved in the regulation of cell adhesion and migration, and plays a central role in heart morphogenesis, angiogenesis and blood vessel remodeling and permeability. EPHB4-mediated forward signaling controls cellular repulsion and segregation from EFNB2-expressing cells. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
