The Mouse (G6PC) Glucose-6-phosphatase ELISA Kit measures Glucose-6-Phosphatase in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse G6PC antibody. G6PC present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse G6PC Antibody is added and binds to G6PC in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated G6PC antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse G6PC. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background

Forms with the glucose-6-phosphate transporter (SLC37A4/G6PT) the complex responsible for glucose production in the terminal step of glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis.
