Mouse GRM5 (Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor 5) ELISA Kit
Mouse GRM5 (Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor 5) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (GRM5) Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor 5 ELISA Kit measures Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor 5 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse GRM5 antibody. GRM5 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse GRM5 Antibody is added and binds to GRM5 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GRM5 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse GRM5. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
G-protein coupled receptor for glutamate. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors. Signaling activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system and generates a calcium-activated chloride current. Plays an important role in the regulation of synaptic plasticity and the modulation of the neural network activity (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
