The Mouse (HUWE1) E3 Ubiquitin-protein Ligase Huwe1 ELISA Kit measures E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase HUWE1 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse HUWE1 antibody. HUWE1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse HUWE1 Antibody is added and binds to HUWE1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HUWE1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse HUWE1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Regulates apoptosis by catalyzing the polyubiquitination and degradation of MCL1. Mediates monoubiquitination of DNA polymerase beta (POLB) at 'Lys-41', 'Lys-61' and 'Lys-81', thereby playing a role in base-excision repair. Also ubiquitinates the p53/TP53 tumor suppressor and core histones including H1, H2A, H2B, H3 and H4. Ubiquitinates MFN2 to negatively regulate mitochondrial fusion in response to decreased stearoylation of TFRC (By similarity).
