Mouse ICOS (Inducible T-cell Costimulator) ELISA Kit

Mouse ICOS (Inducible T-cell Costimulator) ELISA Kit

The Mouse (ICOS) Inducible T-cell Costimulator ELISA Kit measures Inducible T-Cell Costimulator in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse ICOS antibody. ICOS present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse ICOS Antibody is added and binds to ICOS in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ICOS antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse ICOS. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Enhances all basic T-cell responses to a foreign antigen, namely proliferation, secretion of lymphokines, up-regulation of molecules that mediate cell-cell interaction, and effective help for antibody secretion by B-cells. Essential both for efficient interaction between T and B-cells and for normal antibody responses to T-cell dependent antigens. Does not up-regulate the production of interleukin-2, but superinduces the synthesis of interleukin-10. Prevents the apoptosis of pre-activated T-cells. Plays a critical role in CD40-mediated class switching of immunoglobin isotypes (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
