The Mouse (LGR5) Leucine-rich Repeat-containing G-protein Coupled Receptor 5 ELISA Kit measures Leucine-Rich Repeat-Containing G-Protein Coupled Receptor 5 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse LGR5 antibody. LGR5 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse LGR5 Antibody is added and binds to LGR5 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated LGR5 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse LGR5. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
BackgroundReceptor for R-spondins that potentiates the canonical Wnt signaling pathway and acts as a stem cell marker of the intestinal epithelium and the hair follicle. Upon binding to R-spondins (RSPO1, RSPO2, RSPO3 or RSPO4), associates with phosphorylated LRP6 and frizzled receptors that are activated by extracellular Wnt receptors, triggering the canonical Wnt signaling pathway to increase expression of target genes. In contrast to classical G-protein coupled receptors, does not activate heterotrimeric G-proteins to transduce the signal. Involved in the development and/or maintenance of the adult intestinal stem cells during postembryonic development. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
