Mouse NADK (Nad Kinase) ELISA Kit
Mouse NADK (Nad Kinase) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (NADK) Nad Kinase ELISA Kit measures NAD Kinase in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse NADK antibody. NADK present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse NADK Antibody is added and binds to NADK in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NADK antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse NADK. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
NAD+ kinase (EC 2.7.1.23, NADK) is an enzyme that converts nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) into NADP+ through phosphorylating the NAD+ coenzyme. NADP+ is an essential coenzyme that is reduced to NADPH primarily by the pentose phosphate pathway to provide reducing power in biosynthetic processes such as fatty acid biosynthesis and nucleotide synthesis. The structure of the NADK from the archaean Archaeoglobus fulgidus has been determined. In humans, the genes NADK and MNADK encode NAD+ kinases localized in cytosol and mitochondria, respectively. Similarly, yeast have both cytosolic and mitochondrial isoforms, and the yeast mitochondrial isoform accepts both NAD+ and NADH as substrates for phosphorylation. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
