Mouse NR3C2 (Mineralocorticoid Receptor) ELISA Kit
Mouse NR3C2 (Mineralocorticoid Receptor) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (NR3C2) Mineralocorticoid Receptor ELISA Kit measures Mineralocorticoid receptor in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse NR3C2 antibody. NR3C2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse NR3C2 Antibody is added and binds to NR3C2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NR3C2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse NR3C2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for both mineralocorticoids (MC) such as aldosterone and glucocorticoids (GC) such as corticosterone or cortisol. Binds to mineralocorticoid response elements (MRE) and transactivates target genes. The effect of MC is to increase ion and water transport and thus raise extracellular fluid volume and blood pressure and lower potassium levels. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
