Mouse NTN1 (Netrin-1) ELISA Kit
Mouse NTN1 (Netrin-1) ELISA Kit
The Mouse (NTN1) Netrin-1 ELISA Kit measures Netrin-1 in Mouse samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse NTN1 antibody. NTN1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse NTN1 Antibody is added and binds to NTN1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NTN1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse NTN1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Netrins control guidance of CNS commissural axons and peripheral motor axons. Its association with either DCC or some UNC5 receptors will lead to axon attraction or repulsion, respectively. Binding to UNC5C might cause dissociation of UNC5C from polymerized TUBB3 in microtubules and thereby lead to increased microtubule dynamics and axon repulsion (PubMed: 28483977). Involved in dorsal root ganglion axon projection towards the spinal cord (PubMed: 28483977). It also serves as a survival factor via its association with its receptors which prevent the initiation of apoptosis. Involved in colorectal tumorigenesis by regulating apoptosis (By similarity).
